WELCOME! We are so excited to have you join CYSA baseball/softball as we have fun getting outside with trained coaches to burn off lots of energy, practice sportsmanship while learning how to be a part of a team and grow in our skills! To best serve the needs of our community CYSA will be offering these specific options this year:

·       Co-ed Tee-ball, ages 4-6

·       Co-ed Coach Pitch Baseball, ages 7-9

·       Boys Kid Pitch Baseball, ages 10-12

·       Girls Fastpitch Softball, ages 10-13 (up to 8th grade)

·       Co-ed Babe Ruth Baseball, ages 13-15

 

SEASON DATES: For Babe Ruth, we do not have exact dates yet, but we do know that practices will begin in late March or April and the season will go all the way through June, possibly slightly into July. All practices and games will be scheduled around the high school schedule so that eligible athletes are able to participate in both programs, if they so desire.

 

NECESSARY GEAR: All Babe Ruth athletes will be provided with a shirt, hat and socks. Athletes will be required to provide on their own the following three items: 

1) Gray Baseball Pants

2) Baseball Mitt

3) Baseball Cleats (no metal cleats allowed)

If you need to borrow any of these items from CYSA, please don't hesitate to contact our baseball program manager (Chris Collins) at [email protected].

In addition, while CYSA will provide all teams with Bats and Batting Helmets, you are welcome to bring your own, if you so desire. Be sure to clearly label your own gear.

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are in need of coaches, assistant coaches, and team parents for all divisions! All coaches will receive coach training, as well as a manual for use throughout the entire season. All team parents will receive a how-to packet as well. If you have interest in volunteering for any of these positions, please indicate so in the registration. You are also welcome to contact our baseball program manager (Chris Collins) at [email protected]. These programs don't happen without volunteers, and we greatly appreciate all who are Helping Kids Play!

TEAM PLACEMENT & FURTHER DETAILS: You will be contacted by CYSA regarding your team placement and practice days/times no later than the week of March 23rd. After that, you will be contacted directly by your coach.

 

REGISTRATION ENDS: In order to receive jerseys by our first game and join the league, Babe Ruth registration strictly closes March 28, 2026.

 

SPREAD THE WORD: Help us spread the word -- encourage your friends to get signed up in time! Historically, we have a difficult time filling the roster for the Babe Ruth age division, so we need you to work hard to recruit others. If we don't fill the roster, we don't have a season for this age. Remember that registration closes March 28th! We look forward to seeing you out on the field soon!
