2026 CYSA Soccer

Welcome!

We are so thrilled to have you join CYSA Soccer!
We can’t wait to have fun getting outside with trained coaches to burn off energy, practice
sportsmanship, learn teamwork, and grow soccer skills.

To best serve our community, CYSA offers co-ed soccer for ages 5–12.
This year, we are excited to announce that we’ll be partnering with the Sedro-Woolley Youth Soccer
Association to give players the opportunity to play against other teams!

Season Timeline:
● Practices begin near the end of August (two practices per week).
● Games begin after Labor Day (one practice and one game per week).
● Practices will always be held in Concrete.
● Games will be held in Concrete and Sedro-Woolley.

Uniform & Equipment Info:
● Every athlete will be provided a jersey, shorts, and socks for games.
● Athletes must bring their own:
1. Water bottle
2. Shin guards
3. Cleats (no metal cleats; cleats recommended but not required for 5-year-olds)

● While CYSA will provide team soccer balls, players are welcome to bring their own if they wish.

Registration Details:
● Opens: May 15th
● Closes: June 30th
● Cost: $70 per athlete (covers uniform, league fees, and equipment costs)

Special Notes:
● Players may "play up" an age group based on skill level and team numbers. -Program Manager must approve.
● Players cannot "play down" unless a doctor’s note is provided.

U9 and Above Teams:
● We will create all-girls or all-boys teams if registration numbers allow.
● If not, teams will be co-ed and compete in the boys' league (per Washington State Soccer
regulations).
● Teams at these ages will also play Anacortes, Burlington, Friday Harbor, and others.
● These games are mostly away games on Saturdays.
● If we do not have enough registrants for U9 and up, we will instead host a soccer camp.

Volunteer Opportunities:
We are looking for coaches, assistant coaches, and team parents at all levels!
● Coaches will receive full training and a detailed manual.
● Team parents will receive a "how-to" guide.
