Welcome! We are so thrilled to have you join CYSA soccer as we have fun getting outside with trained coaches to burn off lots of energy, practice sportsmanship while learning how to be a part of a team and grow in our soccer skills! To best serve the needs of our community, CYSA will be offering co-ed soccer. Ages 5-12 are welcome to join. We have an exciting opportunity this year to play against other teams with the help of the Sedro Woolley Youth Soccer Association. 

Practice begins near the end of August and games begin after Labor Day, practices will be 2 days a week. Once matches begin there will be one practice a week and one match a week. Matches may be on Saturdays. Practices will be in Concrete, and matches will be played in Sedro-Woolley this year. Next year we hope to have some home matches.  All athletes will be provided with a jersey, shorts, and socks to be worn at games.  Athletes will be required to provide their own of the following three items: 1) Water bottle, 2) Shin guards, and 3) Cleats (no metal cleats allowed, and cleats are not required for ages 5, but recommended). If you need to borrow any of these items from CYSA, please don't hesitate to contact our soccer program manager (Kelsey Mason) at [email protected]. In addition, while CYSA will provide teams with soccer balls, you are welcome to bring your own, if you so desire.

Registration will begin on April 16th. And will be open until May 31st. 

Registration is $70 per athlete. This covers the cost of their jersey, shorts, socks, league fees and equipment needed for the season. 

Athletes will be divided into age groups by birthdate and year as follows:

6U must be 5 years old on or before August 31st, 2024

8U must be 7 years old on or before August 31st, 2024 

10U must be 9 years old on or before August 31st, 2024 

12U must be 11 years old on or before August 31st, 2024

We are in need of coaches, assistant coaches, and team parents for all divisions. All coaches will receive coach training, as well as a detailed manual for use throughout the entire season. All team parents will receive a how-to packet as well. If you have interest in volunteering for any of these positions, please indicate so in the registration. Greetings and welcome to the Cheer Family! Our organization offers a thrilling season of cheerleading, filled with exciting performances and memorable experiences.

As Crowd Leaders, our cheerleading team plays a crucial role in connecting fans with the football team. The energy and enthusiasm generated by the crowd can significantly impact the performance of the sports team and boost morale. By learning cheers, chants, and routines to pump up the crowd, participants develop focus, coordination, balance, and learn safe stunting techniques.

Registration for our program is now open for children aged 5* to 14. To ensure timely delivery of uniforms and gear for the football season, registration will close at the beginning of June. Following registration, there will be a meeting a week later to discuss the season, size uniforms, and address any necessary details. During the summer, participants wear coordinated shirts, shorts, and bows for the events they attend while waiting for their uniforms and gear to arrive. Practice sessions are tentatively scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. We kindly request that participants bring a water bottle, wear supportive shoes (no flip flops or sandals), have their hair pulled back from their face, and dress appropriately for the weather. For those who require it, we provide club-owned shell and skirt pieces to be used for the season, and we remind families that any unreturned items will result in replacement costs.

Our season kicks off at the end of June to prepare for the Fourth of July parade located in Concrete. During the summer, participants learn routines for Cheer at the Fair, which takes place in mid-August. In addition, participants attend football games throughout the season, which starts at the end of August and runs until October. At the end of the season, we learn a new routine for NCYFL Seasonal Cheer Expo, which takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving.

The number of squads we have is based on the number of football teams registered for the season. In the event of a single football team, we divide the squad into two groups and alternate their performance at games. If there are two different football teams, we will divide the cheerleading squad to follow each team. We will determine the number of squads and their respective locations at a later date, once we know how many football players have joined the league for the fall.

For the upcoming season, we are expanding our travel route further south into Snohomish County. This means that the farthest north we will travel is Lummi, while the farthest south will be Everett.

*Please note that children are eligible to enroll in the program if they are 5 years old by September 1st, 2024.

Football divisions: Peewee ages 6-8, Midgets ages 9-10, Juniors ages 11-12, Seniors ages 13-14. Player is responsible for purchasing cleats, purple socks and mouth guard, all other equipment will be provided. $150 sign-up fee goes towards purchase of jersey ($60), referee fees, and insurance. All refundable before first game EXCEPT jersey cost; player will get to keep jersey. We offer payment plans for registration cost.
